Dr M B Boralingaiah appointed DIGP of Western Range

Mangaluru: The Karnataka government has ordered the transfer of key officers in the police department. Amit Singh, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) for Western Range, has been reassigned. Dr. M B Boralingaiah, who had been serving as the DIGP of the Southern Range, will replace him.
Concurrently, Amit Singh will take on the role of DIGP Southern Range in Mysuru.
Dr. Boralingaiah is a 2008 batch IPS officer hailing from Mallanayakana village, Maddur taluk, Mandya district, He is an MBBS graduate from Mysore Medical College.
Dr. Boralingaiah has served in various capacities, including Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Tiptur, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Davangere and Udupi, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Bengaluru, managing responsibilities in State Intelligence and Railway Police as SP.
