Dr Prabhakar Bhat granted anticipatory bail in Shyama Prasad Shastri death case

Puttur: The fifth District and Sessions Court has granted anticipatory bail to RSS strongman Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat in the suicidal death of Kedila Shyama Prasad Shastri.

Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Bonanthaya Shivashanker Bhat and Ramachandrapur Mutt seer Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji were charged with abetting the suicide of Kedila Shyama Prasad Shastri. A warrant had been issued against the former two in this connection while summons was issued against Ramachandrapur Mutt seer.

It may be recalled that Shyama Prasad Shastri had shot himself dead on August 31, 2014.

The next hearing in the case is slated for October 31.
