Dr Rajesh Bhat of Bhat’s Nursing Home no more

Mangaluru: Dr Rajesh Bhat (48) passed away after collapsing when participating in badminton tournament at Mangala Stadium here on Saturday, June 22. He was a well-known obstetrician and gynaecologist of Bhat’s Nursing Home at Gandhinagar, Mannagudda here.

Son of the late Dr Malathi Bhat, who was also a renowned obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr Bhat suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed. Although he was rushed to A J Hospital, his life could not be saved despite the best efforts of the attending doctors.

Dr Bhat secured his MBBS degree in 1995 and completed DGO course in 1998 from Kasturba Medical College here. He was trained in gynaecological endoscopic surgeries. he badminton tournament, .Before joining Bhat’s Nursing Home run by his mother, he worked for some time at K S Hegde Medical Academy.

Dr Bhat was the full time working partner of Bhat’s Nursing Home. He is survived by wife, Dr Veena Bhat, and family members.
