Dr Sandhya Pai, Chokkadi and 6 others to receive Maasti award

Bengaluru: The Maasti Awards, given by the Maasti Venkatesh Iyengar Trust, has been published for the year 2020.

Managing Editor of ‘Taranga’ weekly magazine and ‘Tushara’ monthly magazine, Dr Sandhya S Pai, littérateur Subraya Chokkadi and six others have been selected for the awards.

The awards will be presented at a function to be held on March 27 at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here.

Dr Sandhya S Pai is being awarded in the children’s literature category, Vijayashankar for literary criticism, Professor Purushottam Bilimale for literary research, Subraya Chokkadi for poetry, Keshav Reddy Handral for fiction and S Raghunath for creative writing.

These awards are being awarded as part of Maasti Venkatesh Iyengar’s 129th anniversary and 28th year of the Maasti Awards.
