Madikeri: Economist and former Union minister Dr Subramanian Swamy said that he doesn’t have any personal differences with Narendra Modi, however, he objects to some of the decisions of the Prime Minister.

Swamy said he criticizes the PM Modi-led Union government for failing to take “bold steps ” on some issues. In a democracy, praising and criticizing the Prime Minister is a good sign, he said and lamented that the Prime Minister had not responded to the several letters of his communications detailing the objections to the decisions.

However, he expressed his confidence that BJP would again come to power in the next general elections.

He was speaking to reporters at the Capitol Village near here on the sidelines of Kodava National Day celebrations organized by Kodava National Union.

Taking a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Dr. Subramanian Swamy said that “Bharat Jodo” seems to be a penance for those who broke the country. India seems divided to Rahul Gandhi and the real India is still united as one.

He predicted that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will soon be jailed in the Young India case.

During his address to the gathering at the Kodava National Day celebrations, Dr Swamy said Kodavas have every right to ask for an autonomous land. “I will file a petition in the Supreme Court on the demand for Kodava autonomous state for which I have also appointed a lawyer,” he said.
