Moradabad Mayor Vinod Agarwal found himself in the eye of a social media storm after a video of him ‘faking’ a blood donation at a camp went viral. The clip, which quickly spread across platforms, shows the mayor gearing up to donate blood, only to change his mind at the very last second, sparking a wave of online mockery.

The incident took place during a blood donation camp organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday. Agarwal, who had arrived to support the cause, is seen lying on the donor bed, ready to do his bit. But just as the doctor prepares to draw blood, the mayor signals for the needle to be removed and walks off without donating a single drop.

As the video made its rounds online, netizens didn’t hold back. Many ridiculed the mayor, calling him out for what appeared to be a staged photo-op gone wrong. Some sarcastically dubbed him an “actor,” while others criticized him for faking bravery.

Despite the backlash, Agarwal later posted news clippings on his social media, claiming, “On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 74th birthday, I participated in a blood donation camp organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Moradabad as part of our social responsibility.”

Naturally, netizens had a field day. Some crowned him the “Drama King” of Moradabad, while others speculated if he was perhaps rehearsing for his next grand political performance.
