Mangaluru: A bus driver saved averted a major tragedy by appling brakes to stop the bus before he collapsed on the steering wheel due to low blood pressure (BP).
The incident took place at Adyar near Sahyadri College here on Thursday, July 22. The driver, Santhosh began to feel drowsy due to his blood pressure level. He however used his presence of mind and applied brakes to stop the bus in front of the gate of Sahyadri College beside the highway thereby averting a possible disaster.
It is gathered that the bus was filled to full capacity and was running on high speed.
