Driver of MLA CT Ravi’s car arrested

Tumakuru: A day after two youths were killed on the spot after being hit by an SUV in which BJP MLA CT Ravi was travelling, the Kunigal police have arrested the driver of the MLA’s car.

The arrested person is Akash alias Rudresh (30), a native of Bellary.

The mishap had taken place in the wee hours of  Tuesday, February 19.  According to reports, the deceased – Shashi Kumar and Sunil Gowda – had alighted from a vehicle parked by the roadside when the speeding SUV hit them killing them instantly. Akash too sustained injuries in the mishap and had been admitted to Vikram hospital in Bengaluru for treatment.

Kunigal police registered a case and are conducting a probe.
