Drop in fuel prices

Mangaluru/Udupi: The prices of petrol and diesel has dropped with the fall in the price for crude oil and the fall in dollar value. The least price for the fuel in the local market for the month was recorded on Saturday.
Within a week, the prices of petrol and diesel have fallen day by day. The price of petrol was Rs 74.72 on May 6th which dropped by 84 paisa and reached Rs 73.84 on May 11th. Diesel price which was at Rs 68.17 dropped by 38 paisa to Rs 67.79 on May 11th. The drop in prices was within a week for either of the fuels. The price of petrol in Udupi was Rs 75.01 on May 6th fell to Rs 74.13 on May 11th. The diesel price dropped from Rs 68.44 on May 6th to Rs 68.06 on May 11th. The drop is by 88 paisa and 38 paisa respectively.
Drop by 50 paisa
Petrol price dropped by 50 paisa in a single day. Petrol price which was at Rs 74.34 on May 10th dropped to Rs 73.84 on May 11th. Diesel price too have fallen.
“The fall fuel prices is due to the fall in dollar value and the prices of crude oil in the international market,” informed Satish N Kamath, President of DK – Udupi Petrol Diesel Association
