Drug-peddling racket busted

Mangaluru: A drug-peddling racket was busted by Mangaluru South anti-rowdy squad on Wednesday.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Azeez alias Abdul Azeez (34), a resident of Bantwal, and Mohammed Imthiyaz (26) of Talapady.

It has been reported that, police received information which helped them nab the culprits. Azeez and Imthiyaz were traced while they were in their Activa at Nettila Padavu on Kerala border and seized around 10.25 kg of ganja and a scooter (KA-19-1625) at Kallarakodi.

The value of the seized ganja is estimated at Rs 1.60 lakh.
