‘Drugs-free Mangaluru’: Mega Walkathon held in the city

Mangaluru: A mega walkathon, ‘walking together for drugs-free future’, organised by the Mangaluru Police was held on Wednesday.
District In-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao flagged off the mega walkathon aimed at raising awareness among the public, especially the youth.
Several notable figures including MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Vidhan Parishad member Harish Kumar, Mayor Sudheer Kumar Shetty, and Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal participated in the mega walk.
Over 4,000 students from 120 educational institutions actively participated in the walkathon, underscoring the collective effort to combat drug abuse. Various organizations had also joined hands.
