Shamli: The 2-feet tall man from Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli who went viral after he requested police to find him a bride as a form of ‘public service’ is all set to get married next year.

26-year-old Azim Mansoori had been looking for a life partner for more than five years and was tired of the several rejections that came his way because of his small height.

Ultimately, Azim approached the police for help in the form of ‘public service’ to find him a bride. Notably, the police officers weren’t the first Azim turned to for help. He first approached former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow in 2019.

Azim’s bride hails from Hapur and is almost the same height as him. It is gathered that the woman’s father approached Azim’s family with a marriage proposal after his story went viral on social media.

Speaking of his wedding plans, Azim said that he will keep the celebrations sober and expressed a desire to take his bride to Saudi Arabia’s Mecca Medina after marriage.

Media reports also suggest that he would invite UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh Yadav for a feast
