Bengaluru: Actor Duniya Vijay denied allegations against him and said that his daughter is being forced to speak against him.
He told the police that he did not assault his daughter Monica and it is only a way to defame him.
Vijay, his friends and Keerthi Gowda gave a statement at the police station claiming to be innocent in this case.
He claimed that Monica had come to his house on Monday morning in Hosakerehalli when he was talking to his friends. She got angry when he did not open the door. She took a stone and tried to break open the door. When nobody opened the door, she left the house and so there was no question of assaulting her, a senior police officer said.
Vijay has shared a CCTV footage where his daughter Monica came to his house and when the door was not opened she hit the door several times using a stone.
He told the police that she was provoked to file a false complaint against him.
However, when questioned, Monica confessed that she got angry when his father did not open the door and she hit the doors with the stone.
