Mangaluru: Union minister for chemicals and fertilizers D V Sadananda Gowda inaugurated a national level one-day conclave, ‘Transforming India,’ organised by Citizens Council, Mangaluru chapter here at T V Raman Pai Hall on Sunday, January 20.

Speaking on the occasion DVS said, “Today we have inaugurated ‘Transforming India’, a one day conclave to deliver the transformation that took place in last four years during Modi’s government. Administration has to be formed by planning about the future developments. We have prioritized implementing schemes and reaching out to the people rather than delivering speeches and raising slogans.”

“Union government, led by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, always stressed upon reaching out to the people and informing about our performance report card to them. Before the budget, we were asked to visit remote areas and give the report card of our government to the people and interact with the people about their expectations from the government. People are the one who take decision on the basis of our report card and they are authorized to evaluate our performance,” said Mr Gowda.

“Later we have to give the detailed report which will be reflected in the budget and also find solutions for the issues. This was the process started by our PM and this has brought reformative measures. Prior to the election, Modi has assured that our country will be one among the decision making countries. We are the fastest country in terms of growth of economy. Our GDP is 7.2% as China is on 5.8%. These are transformations that Modi initiated.” he added.

“Modi assured to provide corruption- free administration. In the last four and half years Modi and his team have never involved in any corruption. This is called reform. Where there is financial discipline there will be more growth. Modi took bold decision of GST and demonatisation, even brought changes in banking sector with direct benefit transfer. Through this move, we were able save up to Rs 65,000 crore. We have worked as per the expectations of the people,” said Gowda.
