Eatery vendor throws hot oil at customer

Thane: In a shocking video which has surfaced that shows an eatery vendor in rage throws hot oil on a complaining customer.

An argument over the quality of food turned ugly at a Chinese eatery in Thane’s Ulhasnagar area, when the vendor threw hot oil at the customer for complaining about the quality and taste of food. The customer who had gone to the Chinese corner with his friends first complained to the owner about the taste of the food and then created an issue over the bill. The entire incident was caught on camera.

In the video, a group of men, including the customer, are also seen throwing things at the vendor. In retaliation, the vendor attacks them with hot oil.

The victim has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A complaint has been filed and the police have arrested the vendor, a senior police officer said.

However, the vendor filed a counter-complaint accusing the man of vandalising his stall and abusing the staff.
