Editor Ravi Belagere arrested over allegedly giving supari to kill colleague

Bengaluru: Eminent Tabloid journalist, Ravi Belagere has been arrested by the Crime Branch of police over allegations that he gave ‘supari’ to kill former colleague Sunil Heggaravanahalli.

Joint Commissioner of Police N Sateesh Kumar said that the CCB police recently arrested a sharp shooter, Tahir. After probing him and by gaining information from him of anither gun dealer and sharp shooter, Shashidhar Mundevadigi, was arrested.

Shashidhar confessed that Ravi Belagere had given supari to him to kill Sunil Heggaravalli.

Belagere wanted to get Sunil killed for personal reasons, police sources said.

The CCB police are interrogating Belagere and he will be produced before a magistrate by today.
