Bidar: Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar on Tuesday said that the department will initiate action against institutions running tin-shed schools in Kalyana-Karnataka region.

Kumar inspected four schools in Bidar taluk and expressed dismay at the lack of basic infrastructure. Speaking to reporters here he said that the department will, in a months’ time, prepare a list of such tin-shed schools and initiate disciplinary action against the concerned institutions and the officials who accorded permission for such schools.

Pointing out that the officials must have conducted an inspection before giving permission, Kumar said that action will be taken against the erring officials even though they were transferred out of the district.
