Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa announced on Saturday that a comprehensive revision of textbooks would be undertaken.
This statement came as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling the educational needs of children, emphasizing their manifesto’s promise to revise textbooks.
Bangarappa said, “The revised textbooks have already been distributed to schools, and we have taken all the necessary measures to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted process. We have a legal framework in place to safeguard against any disruptions. I had a productive discussion with renowned scholar Baraguru Ramachandrappa, and I want to emphasize that this entire textbook revision initiative is being carried out under CM’s guidance.”
“Our government is fully dedicated to securing a promising future for our students. We are committed to implementing any changes necessary to benefit their education while keeping the core objective of their academic growth intact,” he added.
Talking about the teacher recruitment process, Minister Bangarappa said, “I have received information about the ongoing teacher recruitment process, and the overall atmosphere surrounding it is positive. Although there is a need for some administrative improvements, I have full confidence in the capabilities of our officers, teachers, and students. I urge parents and all stakeholders to join us in our collective efforts to address and resolve any existing issues.”
