Eid-Milad: State govt imposes restrictions on processions

Bengaluru: An order prohibiting any processions or programmes to commemorate Eid-Milad festivities on October 30 has been issued by the state government due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As per the order issued by the Department of Minority Welfare, Haj and Wakf, sanitizers and hand-washing facilities should be provided at the entrance of the mosque, social distancing should be maintained at mosques and masks are compulsory.
Sermons organised at Mohalla levels, use of loudspeakers in public places, and entry of citizens above 60 years and children below 10 to mosques are prohibited by the state government.
