Eight Including Children Drowned in Three Separate Incidents in Karnataka

Mandya/Chitradurga/Belagavi: Eight people drowned in three separate incidents reported at various parts of Karnataka on Friday. Three people drowned at KR Pet taluk in Mandya district, three boys lost their lives at Heggare in Hosadurga taluk in Chitradurga district and two youths engulfed in water at Bannur Thanda in Ramadurga taluk of Belagavi.
Farmer, Kumar (42) and his son Thejas (4) lost their lives after the duo drowned in River Hemavati when they were washing their cattle at Gondihalli village in KR Pet taluk. The police have begun search to find the dead bodies of father and his son.
Annapayya (45) drowned in s pond when he and other devotees were taking holy bath as part of Deepavali celebrations at Sasalukoppalu village in KR Pete taluk. Rescue teams are yet to trace the dead body of the drowned.
Two boys Krishna Chavan (13), Shivananda Mahanthesha Chavan (10) drowned in a pond when they taking bath at Bannur Thanda in Ramadurga taluk in Belagavi. The pond has been filled water following heavy rainfall activities during the past one month.
Three school students suspected to be drowned in a lake at Heggere village in Hosadurga taluk of Chitradurga district. The students who went missing in the lake have been identified as Mahanthesh Kumar, Kantharaj and Kemparaj.
