Elderly Couple attacked and robbed at home in Hassan

Hassan: A couple were robbed and attacked in Kuvempu Nagar in Hassan on Wednesday. The attack has severely injured the couple.

Vagish, aged 60 and his wife Savitri, aged 55 were the victims who were attacked by a known person. The couple’s two sons are working in Bengaluru.

The accused has been identified as Imraan who was Vagish’s former employee. On Wednesday, Imraan entered the house with an invitation card of his brother’s marriage. Imraan noticed a pile of cash on a table inside the house. He grabbed the cash and when Vagish tried to stop him, Imraan attacked Vagish. He then attacked Savithri too and fled the spot.

Vagish was severely injured and was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru. Hassan Extension Police have registered a case and are now in search of Imraan who is absconding.
