Shimla: An elderly man working at the Kangra Deputy Commissioner’s office in Dharamshala has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman, police said.
The 30-year-old woman alleged in her complaint submitted to the police today that Kashmir Singh had called her to his quarter at Dharamshala where he raped her, Kangra Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar told PTI.
A case has been lodged against Singh under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the police said.
Singh, who is in his late fifties, was about to retire from his service within a few months, the ASP added.
