Elderly man comes in a rickshaw, jumps into a river!

Haleyangadi: A man has jumped into Nadini River from Pavanje Bridge and a search is on to locate him.
The individual who has jumped into the river is identified as Harish Poojary (70), a resident of Hosabettu. The man is originally from Kadri-Mallikatte area and was presently living with his son at a rented house in Hosabettu, informed his elder son Rakesh to the police.
Reportedly, Harish was suffering from a serious illness and his condition did not improve even after receiving treatment at Wenlock Government Hospital. Hence, he was brought back to his home. He was suffering from much pain. He was also attacking his son, informs Rakesh.
In his complain to Surathkal police station, Rakesh mention that on Thursday evening, when he had gone out on work, Harish took an auto rickshaw From Hosabettu to Pavanje and then committed the act.
A search operation was conducted by the police, fire personnel with assistance from the locals, to locate the man. However, the four hour long continuous search was to no avail.
