Elderly man killed in a car accident

Belagavi: An elderly man was killed on spot in an accident between a lorry and a car near Yamanapur Bridge on National Highway 4 on July 5. 

The deceased has been recognized as Shashidhar Angadi (75), father of famous doctor Dr. Naveen Angadi and a resident of Bhagyanagar, Belagavi. 

The lorry was moving from Belgavi to Kolhapur in Maharastra. Angadi was returning home in his car after attending a wedding at Gokak. As indicated by eye witnesses, the lorry was speeding when the driver lost control. Therefore, the lorry jumped the divider and crushed head-on into the car. 

The effect was severe to the point that Angadi lost his life on the spot. A case is enrolled at the Belagavi North Traffic Police Station.
