Bengaluru: Former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy took a jibe at B S Yediyurappa while lashing out at him for his New Delhi trip even as several parts of the state were reeling in a flood-like situation.

Addressing a party workers meeting here Kumaraswamy queried, “Where are you Yediyurappa? Ellidiyappa Yediyurappa? I want to ask the people who ran ‘Nikhil Ellidiyappa’campaign where Yediyurappa is.”

It may be recalled that though ‘Nikhil Yellidiyappa’ phrase was used by Kumaraswamy during a movie promotion campaign of his son the same had gone viral just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and spawned several memes.

Criticising the government’s move of transferring various officials, Kumaraswamy sought to know if the transfers are taking place in a transparent manner.
