Udupi: Eminent Tulu Scholar Dr. Uliyar Padmanabha Upadhyaya died on Friday, night 17 at a private hospital in Manipal. He was 85.
Uliyar Padmanabha Upadhyaya was the man behind Tulu Lexicon in six volumes. He bagged many awards for his works including the Sediyapu Krishna Bhat award.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
