Employment and tourism sector to be developed in Coastal K’taka: Min Sunil Kumar

Karkala: Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister Sunil Kumar said that several developments in the employment and tourism sector are in progress benefitting the people of Coastal Karnataka.
Addressing the media he said, “In order to develop the tourism sector of Coastal Karnataka, a theme park comprising of a 33-feet-tall Lord Parashurama statue will be ready by December 2022. This statue will be resembling the same as to the one presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent Mangaluru visit”.
“To generate more employment opportunities and improve the economic condition of the Coastal Karnataka, a 25-acre-land has been notified to establish a textile park at Karkala”, he added.
Meanwhile, the minister said that under the ‘Belaku’ scheme of the state government, the work on electric power charging centres at 1,108 notified places is in progress.
