A 27-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide as her husband did not get prasadam for her after visiting the Male Mahadeshwara temple.
The deceased has been identified as Sweta, a native of Mandya’s Maddur taluk and resident of Vivekanandanagar in the city.
Reportedly her husband Sivananju had visited the Male Mahadeshwara temple along with their son on Monday. He, however, did not bring prasadam for his wife.
Enraged by this, Sweta quarreled with Sivanaju and later committed suicide by hanging herself.
A case has been filed at Ijoor police station.
Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
