Ensure district borders are sealed completely, says BSY emphasing on Kasargod

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday instructed all district authorities to strictly enforce the 21-day lockdown called by PM Narendra Modi.
Addressing the district officials, over a video conference, Yediyurappa said that people violating the lockdown rules can be arrested.
He further directed officials to ensure that all district borders are sealed, particularly emphasising on Kasargod.
Yediyurappa directed district authorities to report problem if any to the notice of Chief Secretary. He also added that the closure was not applicable to private clinics across the state.
“Distillery companies have been asked to manufacture hand sanitizers. Some have come forward to do manufacture it for free. Public is requested to make use of this offer,” said Yediyurappa,
“Initiate strict action against shopkeepers who are selling essential everyday items at inflated prices. Each district must allocate 50 beds for COVID-19 patients,” the CM said.
He also warned of action against landlords asking nurses, doctors to vacate the rented premises.
