Entering the parliament for the third time

Mangaluru: Nalin Kumar who was a regular party worker is entering the parliament for the third successive time and thorough this achievement has garnered attention not only in Karavali but also nationally.
Nalin completed his primary and high school education at Mukkur primary school at Peruvaje in Sullia and St Philomena High School in Puttur respectively and since then itself, he was attracted towards RSS. He started working as a full time worker for the organization for the age of 18 years.
He has worked as RSS pracharak for 12 years. He was also involved in various organizations including Dharma Jagarana Vedike, Kinnigoli Cultivators Development Organisation, Environment Committee, Matrabhumi Society, Siddi Vinayaka Seva Committee and other organizations.
Responsibility in Kerala as well
In 2004 he was selected as the secretary of the district BJP organization and won the 2009 Lok Sabha election and entered the parliament for the first time. He was reelected in 2014. Later he functioned as the member of the union government’s Agriculture Standing Committee, Coconut Development Committee, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Planning Committee, Rubber Council, Bunder Council and many other committees. Nalin was the vice-president of the state BJP and also the co-in charge of BJP in Kerala state.
Hat-trick victory as an MP
By winning three consecutive Lok Sabha elections from Dakshina Kannada constituency, Nalin Kumar has become a hat-trick hero.
Nalin Kumar contested for the first time in 2009 and won against Janardhan Poojary. In 2014 election too, he defeated Janardhan Poojary by a margin of 1.40 lakh votes. This time, by defeating with a record margin, the new candidate from Congress who is a youth and a new face, Nalin achieved a hat-trick victory. Additionally, after the bifurcation as Dakshina Kannada constituency in 2004, Nalin has earned the reputation of being the first MP to achieve the hat-trick victory.
