Environmental panel visits Yelluru and Mudarangadi surroundings

Padubidri: In connection with the case filed by the Nandikur Janajagriti Committee against UPCL in 2018, a team of environmental experts visited and reviewed Yelluru and Mudarangadi surroundings in front of the National Green Tribunal officers.

The panel was headed by Tirumurthy,  joint director, Central Environmental Regulatory Board, Bengaluru ,and included Dr Krishnaraj and Dr Srikanth

The team visited the farmland of  Jagannath Moolya, Jayant Rao and Ganesh Rao of Ellur and investigated the groundwater contamination, salt water problem and drinking water issues of the area.

They also visited Mudarangadi Health Center and gathered information on people’s health.
