Karwar: A police escort vehicle from revenue minister R V Deshpande’s cavalcade, rolled down the hill severely injuring two police personnel

Karwar: Two police personnel were severly injured after the police escort vehicle from revenue minister R V Deshpande’s cavalcade, rolled down the hill in the Kadrada Anashi hills of the Uttara Kannada district.

The injured are identified as, the driver Rajesh and co-passenger, Prakash. They were admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

As per the source, the incident took place when the minister inorder to attend a KPD meeting and was travelling from Haliyala via the Joyida Anashi route to Karwar.

The driver lost control of the vehicle while in the Anashi hills as the result the vehicle rolled off the road, informed sources.

A case with this regard was registered with the Kadra police.
