EVM’s will be used in the upcoming State Legislative Assembly: SEC

Bengaluru: State Election Commission (SEC) estimates that Rs.320 crore would likely to be spent for the the Karnataka Legislative Assembly polls for April-May 2018.
SEC has asked to State Finance Ministry to release the amount at the earliest.
The SEC said that number of booths will be increased this time and electronic voting machines (EVM) with voter verified audit trail (VVAT) will be used.
This time there will be 57,000 booths across Karnataka it said.
