Ex-BBMP corporator’s son, 2 others held in inter-state ganja racket

The son of a former BBMP corporator is among three arrested on charges of running an inter-state ganja racket in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur.

The arrested have been identified as Abhinav (30), son of a former corporator of Suddaguntepalya, Kishore Prakash Reddy (34), resident of HSR Layout, and Sumanth Kumar (24) of Balaji Nagar.

Police seized 60kg ganja, Rs 2.28 lakh in cash, mobile phones, and two cars, totally valued at Rs 44 lakh from their possession.

The ganja was allegedly procured from Odisha and was being transported to Bengaluru in two cars.
