Excise Police Seize Rs 1.15 lakh Worth Goa Liquor in Uttara Kannada

Karwar: Uttara Kannada excise police seized illegally transported Rs 1.15 lakh worth Goa liquor and arrested the lorry driver Krishna Maruthi in an operation on Wednesday at Anamoda check point in Uttara Kannada district.  

The seized items include 373 litre Goa liquor and 168 litre beer, 16 ton firewood worth Rs 1.60 lakh and the lorry.  The seized properties belong to Ramanagar based Hussian Sab Mulla and Santhosh Vasanth, the arrested said.  The lorry was on its way to an unidentified location in Karnataka from Goa when the cops stopped the vehicle and seized the items.
