Sullia: I do not know about the former Prime Minister Deve Gowda’s plan to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Bengaluru-North constituency. Till now I have contested against small leaders. I am excited to contest against the big leaders henceforth, said union minister D V Sadananda Gowda responding to the question regarding the news making rounds that former Prime Minister Deve Gowda will be contesting against DVS.

To the question from which constituency will he be contesting the elections, DVS replied that the present constituency that he represents is big with 30 lakh voters. Hence it is not a small constituency. I have responded to the people’s problems here. I will follow the decision that the party will take, he said.

Even if opposition unites to face Modi, it won’t be a problem. The coalition of JD(S)-Congress has caused hindrance to the victory run of BJP in the state, he said.

Sand issue: Administration responsible

The administration is directly responsible for the sad issue in the district. Since sand mining is caught in the administrative machinery the people here have faced injustice. If the administration itself is part of the problem, how it can be resolved, asked the minister.

India’s strength shown

Indian defence forces have destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan. The prime minister’s stand with the defence forces and his decision has displayed the capacity of India. The diplomatic victory is also ours. Pak has experienced the exposure of its failure to contain terrorism, said DVS.
