Social media has been buzzing with queries as to if it is okay to have sex after getting the shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Health Ministry hasn’t issued any formal guidelines about the same but medical experts suggest that men and women should use contraceptives after receiving the second dose.
As it is too early to say whether there are any long-term side effects of the vaccine or if it will affect a man and a woman if they have intercourse, prevention is the best way and hence it is advisable for men and women to use contraceptives for at least two to three weeks after receiving the second dose.
