Two brothers in their twenties likely died of starvation in Goa, leaving the police shocked. Mohammad Zuber Khan, aged 29, and Aafan Khan, aged 27, were found dead in their home, prompting suspicions of starvation as the cause.
As per an Indian Express report, officials stated that the family of three, the Khan brothers and their mother, had allegedly been surviving only on one date per day for quite some time.
Their father, Nazir Khan, a garment salesman, had reportedly chosen to stay away from his sons and wife due to his disagreement with their extreme starvation.
According to the report, Ruksana Khan, the boys’ mother, who was also involved in the starvation, is currently receiving treatment at a medical college. She is expected to be transferred to Goa’s Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour.
