Fact Check: Has government introduced a new scheme to provide Rs 50,000 to Ration Card Holders?

Amid Covid-19, lot of fake messages claiming free relief package by the government is making the rounds. Now, Fake news on social media claims Government of India has introduced new scheme named ‘Rashtriya Shikshit Berozgar Yojana’ to provide a relief package of Rs 50,000 to all the ration card holders.
The viral post claims that the scheme is applicable for all affected people including senior citizens, widows, farmers, daily labourers, unemployed and all ration cardholders and is available only for the first 40,000 applicants. It also says that the amount will be paid through online payment.
However, PIB fact check has dismissed all the claims and said that no such scheme has been launched by the government. ‘
