Fake notes worth Rs. 7 Crore seized in Belagavi

Belagavi: In yet another seizure in election bound Karnataka, the Belagavi police arrested a man with over Rs 7 crore fake notes at PWD quarters at Visveswarayya Nagar on April 18.
The accused is Ajit Kumar Nidoni, a local of Vijayapura. Allegedly the notes so seized amid the raid were to be utilized to bait the voters to cast votes for a political party.
The APMC police, following up on a tip off, attacked the premises and caught the accused red hand in possession for 25,300 notes of Rs 500 and 29,300 notes of Rs 2000.
