A resignation letter purportedly from Chikkaballapur Congress MLA Pradeep Eshwar has gone viral on social media. However, sources close to the MLA and the Speaker’s office have clarified that the letter is fake.
The controversy stems from a statement made by Eshwar during the campaign for the Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha constituency. Eshwar had publicly declared that he would resign if BJP candidate Dr. K. Sudhakar received even one more vote than Raksha Ramaiah of Congress. He further challenged Sudhakar to accept this condition.
Despite the bold statement, Dr. K. Sudhakar did not respond or accept the challenge. The statement by Eshwar was widely shared on the internet and became the subject of online trolling. This led to the creation and circulation of a fake resignation letter, designed to mimic Eshwar’s official letterhead, which was then sent to the Speaker.
