Family Members of Convicted Counterfeiter Telgi Engage in Quarrel Ahead of His Last Rites

Khanapur: last rites of the convicted counterfeiter Abdul Karim Telgi are scheduled to be held at the burial ground in Khanapur town in Belagavi district on Saturday according to the last wish of the deceased.

There were heated arguments between the members of family of Telgi as his daughter, Sanna blamed the presence of Telgi’s brother Ajim Telgi in front of the dead body as he didn’t take any care of the his brother when he was fighting with the death in Victoria hospital for days. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday morning at around 10.30 AM, sources said.

Kingpin of counterfeit stamp paper scam worth more than Rs 20,000 crore, Abdul Karim Telgi was died at Victoria hospital here in Bengaluru on Thursday evening following serious health issues including HIV, brain fever, multi organ failure and others. He was serving his jail sentence at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison when was admitted to the hospital a few days ago.
