Farmer killed after falling into electric trap laid for wild boar in Tumakuru

Tumakuru: In a shocking incident, a farmer was electrocuted to death after stumbling on an electric trap laid to catch wild boar in Herohalli village in Neelasandra hobli of Kunigal Taluk in last night.
The deceased has been identified as Ramalingaiah alias Raju(45)of Herohalli village.
Ramalingaiah had cultivated 7 acres of sweet potatoes in land located on the outskirts of his village. He was guarding the standing crops late last night when the mishap took place. He unknowingly bounced against a live wire laid on the ground and died of electrocution.
Huliyurudurga Police visited the spot and registered the case. An investigation is underway.
