Padubidri: No fruitful decision has resulted from the meeting held at Udupi deputy commissioner’s office which was participated by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, members of Padubidri Citizens Committee, additional DC Vidya Kumari, tahsildarPradeep Kudekar and Raghavendra of Navayuga Infrastructure Company. Hence, a fast unto death protest will be started from tomorrow at Karave Padubidri.
The exemption provided at Sasthan toll gate in the district must be provided to Padubidri panchayat limits also. Many lives have been lost due to the unscientific work by Navayuga Company. There is no work regarding green cover anywhere in the district. No bus stands have been created for the general public. There are no service roads as well. A skywalk is essential at Hejmady which also has not been constructed and instead they are only tormenting the people through toll collection.
During the meeting in the presence of the DC, Padubidri Citizens Committee president Naveen Chandra J Shetty and Karave leader Ansar Ahmed and others informed that along with their protest they will be starting a fast unto death tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Navayuga official Raghavendra wished for a period of another three more days to arrive to any conclusion.
