Mangaluru: A resident of Kadri, B Chandramohan Bhandary, has complained saying that Rs 40 were detected from his FASTag account as toll charges, even as his vehicle was parked at his residence.
FASTags affixed on a vehicle’s windscreens enables toll to be debited from a linked account.
According to Chandramohan, he received a message at 6 am on November 15 saying Rs 40 have been deducted from his account at a toll plaza in Hejmady for his vehicle, but his vehicle was was parked at his residence in Kadri.
Chandramohan said that the last time he passed through Hejamady toll was in May when he was on the way to Kundapur and money was deducted at that time.
He has now filed a complaint in this regard and also tagged Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari.
