Father kills daughter to settle scores with brother

Muzaffarnagar: A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his three-year-old daughter at Nagla village here in order to implicate his brother in the case, the police said today. 

Shamim, his wife Khushnaseeb and their friend Zahir Abbas were arrested in connection with the incident, SP (Rural) Ajay Sahdev said.

According to the police, Shamim in connivance with the other two accused took his daughter to a forest area last night and slit her throat.

The accused committed the crime as he wanted to implicate his brother in the murder case, they said. 

Meanwhile, a court here today sent the trio to judicial custody till May 15.
