Mangaluru: Another 16 suspects have been rounded up for questioning in connection with the Muhammed Fazil murder case, said Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar on Saturday.
Further, he said that investigation has unearthed clues about the culprits behind the gruesome murder.
During the initial stages of investigations, 21 persons of interest had been detained for questioning, he said, and added that only those responsible for the crime will be arrested.
So far none have been arrested, he clarified.
Fazil had been killed in full public view on the evening of Thursday, while he had been shopping at Surathkal. It had created a sense of unease as the killing took place just 2 days after the murder of BJYM member Praveen Nettaru.
