Fazil murder case: MLA Bharath Shetty slams Congress for painting it communal

Mangaluru: Mangaluru North Constituency MLA Bharath Shetty has urged the police to nab the real culprits in the Fazil murder case and lambasted Congress leaders Moideen Bava and U T Khader alleging them of inciting communal hatred.
Addressing the media on Friday, he said, “Moideen Bava is trying to spark communal tensions in the district. I strongly condemn his statement. While the investigation is still on, he has already coloured it communally by saying that Fazil was murdered by Hindus. This is nothing but provoking communal sentiments”.
About the police investigation, Bharath said, “Already State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has given suitable directions to the police to investigate the matter. In the name of investigation, it is unethical on the part of the police to enter houses and interrogate the innocents. The real culprits must be tracked by accessing CCTV footage and not by torturing innocents”.
Meanwhile, Bharath has criticized Mangaluru Constituency MLA U T Khader for reportedly reiterating what Moideen Bava has said.
The legislator has also urged the people of Surathkal to maintain peace and not lend their ears to any rumours.
It can be recalled that yesterday (July 28) Moideen Bawa, reacting to the murder of Fazil, had said that it was a ‘revenge killing’ in connection to BJYM leader Praveen Nettaru’s murder in Bellare.
