Fight against Covid-19: DK, Udupi get Rs 2.9 cr & Rs 3.38 cr respectively under SDRMF

Mangaluru: The Centre has released a sum of Rs 84.25 crore to Karnataka, under State Disaster Risk Management Fund in order to augment its resources to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
The Fund can be utilized for setting up quarantine facilities, sample collection, screening, setting up additional testing laboratories, purchase of personal protection equipment, thermal scanners, ventilators etc among other things.
The fund so received have been allocated among the 26 districts of the state. Bengaluru city and Bengaluru rural received 10 crores and 2 crores respectively.
The other allocation are – Dakshina Kannada got Rs 2.9 crore, Udupi Rs 3.38 crore, Bagalkot Rs 2.85 crore, Ballari Rs 3.00crore, Belagavi Rs 4.37 crore, Bidar Rs 2.5crore, Chamarajanagar Rs 2.74 crore, Chikkamagaluru Rs 3.13 crore, Dharwad Rs 2.49 crore, Haveri Rs 4.5 crore, Kalaburagi Rs 9.5 crore, Uttara Kannada Rs 5 crore, Kodagu Rs 8.21 crore, Ramanagara Rs 3.42 crore, Shivamogga Rs 1.8 crore, Tumakuru Rs 5 crore, Vijayapura Rs 3 crore, and Yadagiri Rs 1crore. Gadag and Koppal have received a sum of Rs 85 lac each, Mandya Rs 75 lac, Hassan Rs 50 lac, Kolar Rs 15 lac and Raichur received Rs 35 lac.
