Gadag: Routine life in Dadag district stalled after various organisations including farmers called for a district wide Bandh from 06.00 AM to 06.00 PM on Friday urging the state and union governments to solve Kalasa-Banduri, Mahadayi water issue immediately. All shops, commercials establishments, government offices, educational institutions and others shut in Gadag and Naragunda following the protest call.
The protesters blocked national highways which connect the district with Vijayapura and Belagavi to register their anger on governments’ inaction to implement Kalasa-Banduri project immediately. The protesters have decided to intensify their protests as their protests for Kalasa-Banduri project completed 2 years last week.
